Katy Falkenborg is Vice President of Asset Management at BrightNight, where she leads the company's asset management function and is responsible for developing and scaling a comprehensive asset management program across BrightNight's growing renewable energy portfolio.
With more than a decade of experience spanning utility-scale solar, renewable natural gas, biomass, and energy storage finance, Katy has held leadership roles across the renewable energy industry. Prior to joining BrightNight, she served as Head of Asset Management at IHI Power Services, where she led a growing team managing multiple renewable energy portfolios, onboarded 1.35 GW of utility-scale solar projects, and guided the first 400 MW through commercial operation.

Previously, Katy held leadership positions at Brightmark, Canadian Solar, Tesla, and SolarCity. Throughout her career, she has managed complex asset portfolios, overseen project and corporate P&Ls, supported the deployment of hundreds of millions of dollars in project financing and tax equity investments, and helped establish asset management platforms in emerging renewable energy markets.
