Adaora Ifebigh is the Senior Director of Community Impact at Sol Systems, where she leads the development and execution of the company’s comprehensive Impact and Infrastructure strategy. In this role, she cultivates community partnerships and works closely with local organizations to address systemic challenges to sustainability and drive positive, community-led change. Adaora has over 15 years of leadership and program management experience in the energy sector, with expertise in energy access and community impact, particularly in rural cooperative territories. Prior to joining Sol Systems, she served as Program Director for Energy Access at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), where she launched and led the Advancing Energy Access for All initiative. This program spotlighted the role of electric cooperatives in building healthier communities and promoted innovative, holistic approaches to serving low- and moderate-income households—ensuring that rural communities are not left behind in the clean energy transition. Earlier in her career, at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), Adaora managed a portfolio of more than 23 energy R&D projects totaling $77 million, supporting awardees across the academic, corporate, and nonprofit sectors to advance cutting-edge energy innovation.
