Melissa Duyar is a Surface Water Practice Lead and owner with Kimley-Horn based in Chicago. She specializes in hydrology, hydraulics, and floodplain analysis for renewable energy, battery energy storage, thermal generation, and other major infrastructure projects across the United States. Melissa works closely with developers to identify project risks, streamline permitting, and optimize designs throughout the project lifecycle. Drawing on experience supporting some of the nation's largest energy developers, she focuses on delivering practical, cost-effective solutions that balance climate resilience with constructability. Melissa has served on the WRISE Chicago Chapter’s Board of Directors and leads sponsorship for the Chicago Chapter’s signature event - WRISE & Wine.
