Anjali Balakrishna is a clean energy leader with more than 12 years of experience building and scaling programs that pair ambitious energy and infrastructure goals with meaningful community impact. She currently leads Microsoft’s global Community Energy program, where she has helped pioneer new approaches to embedding community benefits into corporate clean energy procurement. During her tenure, the program has enabled 6.5 GW of renewable energy projects across the U.S. and globally, while directing millions of dollars toward community-led sustainability, affordability, and economic inclusion initiatives.
Throughout her career, Anjali has focused on building innovative programs and cross-sector partnerships that ensure large-scale investment translates into tangible benefits for people and communities. She holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and a B.A. from Yale University. Anjali lives in Atlanta, where she loves playing tennis, hanging out with her dogs, and enjoying a big ice cream on a hot Georgia summer day.
